  • Interfaith Iftar Event: Fasting is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith, and during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast every day from sunrise to sunset. An iftar is the meal that Muslims share to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. It is typically a time of great joy spent in community. Peace Catalyst International is excited to join with the Islamic Center of Ventura County as a Muslim friend describes and models an Iftar at 7:00 PM on April 24th. This introduction to the Iftar, which will take place via Zoom, provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of another culture from that culture's perspective. And, it offers a wonderful opportunity to love your neighbors in the Muslim community by supporting them in their efforts at outreach to the larger community. For more information, including details on how to join in the Iftar, visit!
