Event Organizer: Coalition for Family Harmony. This event will include educational presentations, an intergenerational panel of LGBTQ+ Latiné older adults and youth, a community resource fair, and an art exhibit. The goal of this event is twofold: to discuss the way that bullying, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence affect LGBTQ+ Latiné communities in disproportionately higher numbers and to provide concrete practices that our loved ones can embrace to create welcoming and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ communities to thrive mentally and physically in Ventura County. The art exhibit is an opportunity to humanize the experiences of LGBTQ+ Latiné communities and provide a visual display of what a supportive chosen family or supportive support system look like.
