- Wednesday Evening Prayer reminder: Our last session for the Speculative Fiction and Theology series “Where did we see you?” is this Wednesday 7/3 at 5:00-6:30 pm. we will be concluding a book series on Speculative Fiction and theology: how religion is portrayed in science and fantasy fiction with the Rev. Sharon Sheffield.
- Reminder that next week is our bilingual service! 7/7 at 10:30am led by Pr Alene as Pr Melissa and Ana will be taking the youth and kids to Camp Stevens.
- LGBTQ+ Latiné Wellness Event: Saturday July 13th Get Loud Movement will curate the art exhibit for the upcoming Event, which will be held on July 13th, 2024, from 12 to 3PM, at Oxnard College for Coalition for Family Harmony. Event Organizer: Coalition for Family Harmony. This event will include educational presentations, an intergenerational panel of LGBTQ+ Latiné older adults and youth, a community resource fair, and an art exhibit. The goal of this event is twofold: to discuss the way that bullying, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence affect LGBTQ+ Latiné communities in disproportionately higher numbers and to provide concrete practices that our loved ones can embrace to create welcoming and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ communities to thrive mentally and physically in Ventura County. The art exhibit is an opportunity to humanize the experiences of LGBTQ+ Latiné communities and provide a visual display of what a supportive chosen family or supportive support system look like. - Thursday July 25th. Screening of the Philadelphia 11 documentary at Epiphany, Oak Park: https://www.tcote.org/the-philadelphia-eleven/. 6:30-8:30pm. Screening and Q & A with The Rev. Canon Susan Russell, COE is located at 5450 Churchwood Dr. Oak Park.
- Camping Time: The church camping trip at Lake Casitas is scheduled from 2-4 of August (new dates). Let the office know if you plan to attend or want to come to the Pool day on Saturday 8/3 3-6:30pm. Tickets 24 dollars for the pool.
- Mark your calendars: Dodger Night is Sept. 6. Sign up if you plan to attend.
- Sunday School/Holy Communion during the Spanish service.
- Name Tags: A reminder to wear your name tags. If you need one please fill out the form found in the Narthex and put the request in the plate.
