WELCOME TO ALL SAINTS!

Welcome and thank you for worshipping with the All Saints’ family today! We would love to introduce ourselves, greet you, and answer any questions you might have.

 Our Prayer List is updated each week.  Please let us know whom you would like to include on the list.  Prayer requests may be put in the offering plate on Sunday.  Names will be on the prayer list for one month, unless you request otherwise.  Please call to remove names if prayers have been answered.  If something comes up during the week and you want someone added or removed, please contact the office by Tuesday at 10am.

  •  Welcome to All Saints’ 9:15 am. Service.  We are live streaming on Facebook at www.facebook.com/allsantosoxnard.
  • Flowers are given by Elynor Whitaker in thanksgiving for Marisol Fattori’s birthday and her new position!
  • Thank you to Pastor Ron Dybvig who is our preacher today.
  • Happy birthday to Dulce Vargas and Sandra Aldana.
  • A reminder that 8/17 is Karl's last day and we will send him off at each service.
  • Welcome table in on Thursday 8/21 6-8pm (dinner and interfaith prayers for LGBTQ+ community and allies).
  • Wednesday Healing Eucharist: 5:15 pm in the chapel and on Zoom.
  • We are invited to participate in an oral history project conducted by the Liberal Arts and Public Humanities Initiative at Ventura College. They seek a diverse sample representing various social classes: ethnic, religious, age and gender backgrounds across Ventura County. Dean Tony Mansueto has personally invited us. Please reach out to Pastor Melissa to get connected if interested.
  • For those who wish to see the Dead Sea Scrolls, they are at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley and Bill and Sue Reno are there every Thursday Morning. The exhibit ends at the beginning of September.
  • We are looking for the following supplies for Mercy House welcome baskets for the Navigation Center Housing: personal hygiene, home cleaning products, dish and utensil sets, laundry essentials, pots and pans, cooking utensils and towels. We will be creating 55 baskets with help from other churches, to give to the new occupants of the Navigation Center across the street from the church. Baskets will be made at the end of August for the September opening.
  • Overnight retreat at Serra Retreat Center: September 26-27th at Serra Retreat in Malibu. Carpooling possible. Topic: book Active Hope: How to Face the Mess we’re in with Unexpected Resilience and Creative Power by Joanna Macy. Cost: 165 single occupancy for one night; 135 double occupancy for one night. Meals: dinner Fri night, breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Leave about 2-3pm as the group decides. Please contact Pr. Melissa by September 1st if interested. Half scholarships are available as needed.
  • Name Tags: A reminder to wear your name tags. If you need one please fill out the form found in the Narthex and put the request in the plate.
  • Prayer for use by those digitally present for Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. I love you above all things, and long for you in my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
